When planning your engagement session I always love hearing what it is that you as a couple enjoy or what brought you together. As a photographer I would say the thing that I hear most from the general public is that they wish they had wedding pictures they really LOVED! That they didn’t have the money nor the time to go somewhere they really dreamt of going to or hiring an amazing photographer to truly capture their Love Story. What if I told you that even after your wedding you can still have those fairy tale pictures at a destination so amazing and glorious!!! We offer Adventure Sessions which is a session where you get in your wedding get up (or other formal option) again and go to a destination that will ABSOLUTELY blow your mind! Most brides that are planning a wedding don’t necessarily have the time to hike up a mountain top for gorgeous sunset shots or down in a canyon because I found an unbelievably stunning waterfall. These are my most favorite sessions, they are so unique, adventurous (hence the name Adventure Session, haha), and designed specifically for each couple! There is no reason that you cannot have the wedding pictures that you wanted hanging up in your new home or to send to distant relatives that couldn’t make it to your ceremony. I absolutely love engagement sessions, which is precisely why they are ALWAYS included in our Wedding Collections. This is the best way for us to get to know you two as a couple, to see you both interacting together in a very deep and playful way. We want to experience how she giggles when you run together thru a field or make a joke about something so ridiculous! Or when you snuggle up to his chest and I tell you both to close your eyes and relax, that moment when he is holding you close to his heart is our favorite! I am not the type of photographer that is going to have you stand in an awkward position and then tell you 1,2,3 now cheese!!! I capture reaction, emotion, and pure genuine love! But the best part is, is that I am not making the magic happen. You are! I am just trying to keep up ;)
When preparing for an engagement session with us, I want you to come relaxed and ready to snuggle, twirl in circles, run through a field or downtown alley, and basically act like no one is watching. Getting to know the in’s and out’s of my favorite wedding vendors and being able to design and work first hand with them is always one of my personal favorite things to do. This styled shoot has been a thought in my head for quite some time and I just had to act on it! First thing to do was to ask find a Bride who would be willing to brave the cold up on Spokane Mountain for a couple hours and act like she isn’t cold even for a moment. Second was to find the right team of amazing vendors who shared the same vision as I did for this Romantic Bridal Shoot.

Our trip to Ireland was nothing short of AMAZING!! It is exactly like the movies but so so much better! Everything from the castles, the rolling hills, & tiny roads that look like a bike path here in America (and yet they expect two cars going opposite directions to both fit). While in Ireland I was able to design and photograph one of my very best friends in a Bridal Shoot at Whore Abbey and on the Cliffs of Ireland. This was definitely one of the many highlights to our overseas adventure as I am sure the images below will convey.
Now the question I got the most after coming back was “would you go back?”, at first I honestly said “probably not” but as more time passes the more I deeply miss it. I miss the long flight that took over 9 hours, the rolling hills that were nothing but a deep green, and the many castles that we explored in Cork, Doonagore, Gort, Dublin, etc! I would go back in heartbeat! Not because it is one of the worlds “most explored countries” but because my heart longs to be at the Cliffs of Moher! I remember seeing them for the first time and literally teared up and got chills from my head down to my feet. It truly is one of Earth’s greatest beauties and I miss it every single day. Although the next time my hubby and I visit we want to capture a destination elopement or wedding.

One of my favorite locations to go to is one that means something to the couple! "Spots" in relationships are so vital and I was absolutely so honored that Sarah & Wesley invited me to capture their Love Story at one of their "Spots".
